Copy Path to Clipboard

A simple but useful script for Windows PCs that adds an item to the Explorer context menu. When right-clicking on any file/folder and selecting the item, the path of the selected file/folder is copied to the clipboard ready for pasting into any application. The script options can be easily modified to:

  • Convert path to UNC path (replaces drive mappings with full network path).
  • Always include trailing backslash ‘\’.
  • Include chevrons ‘<‘ and ‘>’ around path for pasting as links into MS Outlook.
  • Replace spaces with ‘%20’ for use as URLs.
