      I would appreciate if a tool would be added as a quick transform of long to short nastran format and viceversa.

      Thank you for your suggestion. This feature has already been identified as a ‘Convert Cards’ feature. It is currently a disabled checkbox in the ‘Modify Files…’ tool.
      There is more than one approach to implementing the feature and may accommodate free formatted cards too. It will hopefully be incorporated within the next two beta releases.
