I would like to run NASTRAN from editor with a run button or F11 (take in account that on pc, it would been present several NASTRAN version)
Whilst Nastran setups probably vary considerably, a simple command line execution can easily be incorporated into NastPad and linked to a button (F11 as suggested by marco). It would probably utilize a dialog with available scopes (‘Active File’ or ‘Current Model’, and maybe ‘Folder of Files’ if batch runs are desired by any users?) The command name and arguments would be adjusted in the settings, and maybe include multiple ‘profiles’ to allow a quick choice between versions, etc.
For Nastran server installations, I imagine this approach would not work as they usually require login credentials.Please reply to this topic with any relevant comments or suggestions.
